Experience Back to the Source

SENSE OF DETAIL AND SERVICE OF A PALACE COMBINED WITH A WARM AND FAMILY ATMOSPHERE

Les Sources de Caudalie, located among the vineyards of Château Smith Haut Lafitte, a Graves great growth, was established in 1999. The concept behind Les Sources de Caudalie is inspired by the “French Paradox”, discovered over 20 years ago. It refers to a study proving that the French diet and lifestyle, particularly in Southwest France, is conducive to good health.

Between vineyards and forests, at only 20 minutes from Bordeaux center, the architect Yves Collet created from scratch contemporary buildings from recycled local materials in tune with the surroundings.

Alice and Jérôme Tourbier have managed Les Sources de Caudalie for the past ten years in keeping with the values they hold dear: well-being, generosity, authenticity, high-quality service, and emotion. Welcome to a universe where everything is devoted to nature, taste and senses.

OUR ENVIRONMENTAL APPROACH

Our philosophy is to use the natural richness of the grapevine and the grape, of the terroir and the region to offer you a unique experience in total harmony with the environment.

The Bee Garden
Our vegetable garden supplies our restaurants with vegetables, fruit and fresh herbs so that your plate is filled with morning freshness. We employ the principles of a circular economy and do not use any pesticide. Our hen house also supplies us with fresh eggs.

The kitchen
Our Chef works with local producers and favours organic produces or sustainable agriculture, in order to obtain quality products.

The Vinothérapie spa
All Caudalie products offered in the bathroom are guaranteed free of paraben, phenoxyethanol, phthalate, mineral oil and ingredient of animal origin. The spa draws, uses and recycles spring water for all wet treatments.

Château Smith Haut Lafitte
The Bio-précision process, developed by Château Smith Haut Lafitte, promotes biodiversity and balance in the vineyard ecosystem through the planting of hedges, natural grass cover, making of organic compost or use of horse-powered labour. The Château also has a positive energy Stealth Cellar: a prototype which captures and transforms CO2, which comes from the fermentation process, into sodium bicarbonate.
