Surrounded by the Grand Cru vineyards of Château Smith haut Lafitte, Les Sources de Caudalie has been welcoming guests since 1999. Inspired by the “French Paradox” – a study that proved how the French diet and lifestyle, particularly in Southwest France, is conductive to good health – Les Sources de Caudalie is a genuine source of wellbeing.


Located between vineyards and forests, just 20 minutes from Bordeaux’s city center, Les Sources de Caudalie was designed by architect Yves Collet, who used recycled local materials to create a collection of state-of-the-art buildings that are perfectly in tune with the idyllic surroundings.

Our philosophy is to use the natural richness of the grapevine and the grape, of the terroir and the region to offer you a unique experience in total harmony with the environment.

The Bee Garden
Our vegetable garden supplies our restaurants with vegetables, fruit and fresh herbs so that each dish is filled with freshness. We employ the principles of a circular economy and do not use any pesticides. Our hen house also supplies us with fresh eggs.

The Kitchen
Our Chef works with local producers and favours organic produces and sustainable agriculture, in order to obtain quality products.

The Vinothérapie Spa
All Caudalie products provided in the bathroom are guaranteed free of paraben, phenoxyethanol, phthalate, mineral oil and ingredient of animal origin. The spa draws, uses and recycles spring water for all wet treatments.

Château Smith Haut Lafitte
The Bio-précision process, developed by Château Smith Haut Lafitte, promotes biodiversity and balance in the vineyard ecosystem through the planting of hedges, natural grass cover, the making of organic compost and the use of horse-powered labour. The Château also features a “positive energy” Stealth Cellar: a prototype which captures and transforms CO2 (a byproduct of the fermentation process) into sodium bicarbonate.
